The Millennium Project Completion Agency Zambia has successfully connected over 5000 households to water supply and 3000 to sewer network in Mtendere. This means that most of the residents of Mtendere are now accessing clean and safe water supplied by Lusaka Water Supply and Sanitation Company. “My family is very happy to access water at home. This has helped us because we do not have to travel long distances as was the case before.” This is the voice of Mirriam Mudenda in Mtendere, a mother of three who previously used to get water from a shallow well near the main stream.
